Founded in memory of Joseph and led by Joseph’s mother and aunt, Joseph’s Smile is dedicated to helping children in 4 key areas:

  1. Access life-saving or life-changing treatments and equipment that are not available on the NHS.
  2. Specialised wiggly vests to provide hickman line support.
  3. Childhood cancer research and awareness.
  4. Plus an incredibly special Christmas campaign to remember children no longer with us – Bells For Heaven.

About Joseph's Smile

Joseph’s Smile was created in memory of Joseph Yeandle who sadly lost his fight to cancer in December 2021. 

Joseph’s family were desperately raising funds for Joseph to access further treatment in New York, but sadly Joseph never had the chance to access what he needed. Our 4 Areas of Support

Support Fund for Families

No parent should have to choose between affording treatment and spending time with their child. We know this struggle firsthand - fundraising for Joseph’s cancer vaccine meant losing precious moments with him.
We provide grants to help families access life-saving treatments, essential medical equipment, and travel costs not covered by the NHS. Wiggly Vest Scheme

Hickman lines are essential for childhood cancer treatment, but they also come with constant risks. When Joseph had one, we lived in fear of it being pulled or infected. Designed by his mother, Katy, our Wiggly Vests were created with Joseph in mind.
Now, in his memory, we provide them to children and babies across the UK, ensuring their lines are safely secured. These vests give children the freedom to play while offering parents peace of mind - a small but powerful way to make treatment a little easier.

Childhood Cancer Research

Each day in the UK, 10 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer - a life-changing and devastating reality. Of those, two will sadly not survive. For many of the survivors, long-term side effects can have a lasting and profound impact on the rest of their lives.
We partner with childhood cancer research charities to fund groundbreaking studies and trials. Joseph’s Smile is proud to be a member of the Children and Young People’s Cancer Coalition for the UK (CYPCC). The CYPCC is a CEO-led charity coalition, bringing together more than 40 charities with an interest in children and young people’s cancer.

Bells for Heaven Campaign

Losing Joseph was beyond heartbreaking, a loss that no family will ever recover from, but we honour his memory through this charity but also at Christmas – along with every child taken too soon - through our Bells for Heaven Campaign.
At midday on Christmas Eve, families across the UK ring a bell in remembrance, creating a moment of love, unity, and togetherness. No family should grieve alone and we ensure their children’s names and stories live on through this beautiful campaign.
